In thanksgiving to God for the gift of life on the Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Ibadan, Most Rev. Gabriel ’Leke Abegunrin, who celebrated his 70^th Birthday Anniversary on the 29th of September, 2019, the Seminary of Saints Peter and Paul, Bodija, Ibadan, organized a two-day programme to honour the septuagenarian, whose immense love and support for the seminary are invaluable, especially in his capacity as the Chairman of the Seminary Commission. The celebration began on the 19th of November, 2019 with lunch in the seminary refectory, with the celebrant, formators and students present, during which renditions were made in honour of the celebrant. At about 4pm on this same day, a novelty match was played between the seminarians of the Benin province and those of Ibadan province, which ended a draw (1-1). Afterwards, there was the celebration of Sung Vespers, supper, and a relaxing social session where the celebrant was hosted to a beautiful treat at the seminary auditorium. The climax of the celebration, however, was the celebration of a Mass of Thanksgiving on the 20th of November, 2019, which was presided over by the Archbishop himself, and was graced with the presence of priests, religious and seminarians. We wish him more fruitful and grace-filled years on earth.
