Sequel to the completion of her summer holidays, the seminary re-opened for the 2017/2018 session, precisely on the 2nd of October, 2017 with the arrival of seminarians from various parts of the country and beyond. Having officially resumed at 6pm on the aforementioned date, all seminarians present converged at the seminary chapel at exactly 8:30pm for compline. The official reception of the seminarians for the session was executed by the Dean of Students, Rev. Fr. Joseph Iyamah, on behalf of the Rector, Very Rev. Fr. Francis Adesina. In his brief address, he welcomed all back to the seminary after a long period of holidays, and encouraged a swift moment of acclimatization on the part of the seminarians, as the session had begun in earnest. Just after his address, the attendance (roll call) of all those present was taken by the First Senior Prefect, Irekiigbe John, and other light activities were carried out before everyone retired for the night.
