The issue with human sexuality has a place in the moral teachings of the Church and as such it behooves on the seminarians as candidates of the priesthood to be assisted to understand the gamut of such a gift. As such, the Seminary took the initiative to tutor seminarians on the intricacies of the human sexuality since this has a towering place in the formation for the Catholic Priesthood cum their lives as humans, aiding their moral sense as priests in the twenty-first century. As has become the tradition, the event was overseen by Prof. Michael Asuzu of the University College Teaching Hospital, Ibadan. The lecture took place on November 9, 2016 in the seminary auditorium, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. More so, Sr. Leonie McSweenie, MMM held another session on January 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.

However, during the period of inter semester break, a seminar was organized for the final year students of the seminary on Human sexuality, Indemnity, Celibacy and Abuse of Minors and the Vulnerable. This was the third edition of the seminar in the seminary and was facilitated by Very Rev. Fr. John Poopola, Sr. Evarista, MMM, and Sr. Esther Amowe, DHS. The issues raised and treated included companionship, sex and sexuality, homosexuality, Celibacy, Abuse of Minors and the Vulnerable, the necessity for a Child Protection Policy within dioceses and Catholic institutions. Among other things, the participants were taught the importance of balanced personality and ability to enter into selfless and detached relationship with others without jeopardizing the gift and vow of celibacy. The facilitators recommended to the participants to study the CBCN's position on sexual scandals to be informed.
